Environmentally Friendly

Activity 1
You know that our planet Earth is changing due to all human activities; we are responsible for the global warming and all things related to it, such as the polar ice caps melting, floodings, greenhouse gases, deforestation, pollution, skin cancer and droughts.
Since you live in this planet, make suggestios to improve this situation and invite your classmates and community to put changes into action. Include some advice about our planet’s situation.
Instructions:
1. Form groups of ttwo or three classmates.
2. Write your project including: introduction, objective(s), material, arguments, suggestions, advice, and invitations.
3. Think of two ways to organize this information to make a Power Point presentation.
4. Include images and make it attractive.
5. Check on the Internet or look up for specific vocabulary.
6. Don’t forget to use this expressions to reach your purpose:

Email the project to your teacher, including your two possibilities.

Keep in touch so you can receive feedback ans suggestions, too. After modifying your project and considering changes, finish it so you can share it with the class.

Activity 3
Share your Power Point presentation with the class. In case it is not possible because of technical difficulties, share it with the class by emaling it to your classmates.


Activity 4
In class there will be a chance to make your comments about your classmates’ projects.
Pay close attention to :
Content
o How serious the research was
o How well organized it was
o How important is the information it includes
o How serious it was
o How original the suggestions, invitations and advice were
o How rich in content it was

o The information is visually well organized

Emailing and Sending an Answer

Students A:
You have to email your classmate. From these three options choose any: making an invitation, making suggestions or giving some advice.

For students A:

MAKING INVITATIONS
You want to invite your classmate to a party, consider and include this information:
• Where is the party.
• When is it?
• What food and music you want your classmate to bring?
• Include all possible phrases to convice him/her.
MAKING SUGGESTIONS
You want your classmate make suggestions on a situation you are through, include this information:
• What the situation is.
• The people who are involved.
• Why you are not sure about.
• Ask for suggestions.
GIVING ADVICE
You want your classmate give you some advice about a situation you are through, include this information:
• What the situation is.
• The people who are involved.
• Why you are not sure about.
• Ask for some advice.

Students B:
You are going to receive an email from your partner, answer it appropiately, depending on what your classmate decided: accept or decline the invitation, make suggestions or give necessary advice. Don’ forget to:
• Ask necessary questions.
• Make your point (express your ideas clearly).
• Use necessary phrases according to the situation.
• Help your classmate find a solution.
